The Audiovisual Media Authority, in cooperation with citizens and TikTok, continues its efforts to identify and remove harmful content from the platform.
From the moment of reporting to date, we have reviewed and taken action on 273 complaints. Of these, 127 were assessed as law violations, with 102 videos/audios removed from the platform, while 25 others remain under review.
Of the 102 pieces of content removed, 14 were videos depicting acts of violence, 3 concerned religious hatred, 3 contained footage of criminal acts, 30 involved the exposure of children to pornography, narcotics, alcohol, tobacco, and violence and 49 involved incitements to violence and hatred. In addition, 3 audios were removed for the use of language exceeding accepted moral and ethical standards.
Regarding piracy, 1,855 cases were reported during this period, of which 965 were photos and 890 videos. All 1,855 photos and videos were removed from the platform and there are currently no cases pending review.
Every complaint and report received has been handled with the utmost responsibility and in full compliance with the applicable legal provisions.
