AMA representatives participated in the second meeting of the European Regulators Group for Audiovisual Media Services, held in Brussels.
As an observer country, alongside Montenegro and Turkey, this engagement aims to further align with the EU member states’ approach to rules, principles, and the legal framework governing policymaking and regulation of the audiovisual market.
Presentations focused on the achievements and results of each ERGA subgroup’s work plan, as well as the objectives for implementing the Freedom of Expression Act and key topics for each working group for the coming year. Orientation campaigns aimed at creating a safe audiovisual and digital environment, supported continuously by the European Commission, is an ongoing assurance for the work of Audiovisual Regulators.
This joint work meeting of ERGA’s four subgroups precedes the Plenary Assembly, which will be hosted by the current presidency of the Audiovisual Regulatory Network in Rome at the end of November. The European Audiovisual Regulatory Network and its governance guidelines for the audiovisual market are the key of AMA’s work.
AMA at this meeting was represented by the heads of the Directorate of International Law and EU Integration.
