The Audiovisual Media Authority has launched the public consultation process on the proposed amendments to the Regulation “On the criteria and procedures for granting authorizations”. For this purpose, today the AMA’s Chair, Ms. Armela Krasniqi, welcomed in a roundtable discussion the audiovisual operators from Kukës.
During the meeting, the proposed changes were discussed, including the introduction of new criteria for the authorization process, reinforced legal measures for entities to ensure they provide the services for which they are authorized, as well as simplified requirements regarding the documentation that audiovisual media service providers must submit in their authorization or renewal application.
Krasniqi emphasized the Authority’s strong commitment in the fight against piracy in all its forms, emphasizing that the institution stands by lawful entities who respect market rules.
Through a public call, AMA’s Chair urged all citizens to report any instance of piracy. “The money you spend on them is money thrown away”, stated Krasniqi.
She also called on operators to report any cases of abuse they may encounter while lawfully exercising their rights.
