The Chair of the Media Authority, Ms. Armela Krasniqi, welcomed the Head of the OSCE Presence in Albania, Ambassador Michel Tarran, to the AMA premises.
Accompanied by the Head of the Democratization Department, Mr. Blerim Vela, and the Senior Media Officer, Mr. Dane Koruga, they expressed their interest in AMA’s work, the challenges the institution currently faces, its methodology aligned with the guidelines of the CEC for election monitoring, the work plans for the near future.
The Head of the OSCE Presence in Albania, Ambassador Michel Tarran praised the work carried out so far by the Audiovisual Media Authority.
“I gladly responded to the interest of the head of the OSCE in Albania regarding AMA’s work, while we also discussed the recent legal amendments to AMA’s organic law, aligning it with EU Directives and other significant acts, such as the Digital Services Act (DSA) and the most recent ones, like the European Media Freedom Act (EMFA),” said the Chair of AMA, Ms. Armela Krasniqi.
According to her, ensuring coherence with European legal practices, adapting them to the Albanian media reality for further regulation of this market, and exchanging experiences with international partners are among AMA’s key priorities.
