On 3th of July, analogue broadcasts will be closed in Berat district
Audiovisual Media Authority (AMA), pursuant to Law no. 97/2013 “On audiovisual media in the Republic of Albania”, as amended, and the Strategy for the Transition from Analog Broadcasting to Numerical Broadcasting, approved by the Council of Ministers Decision no. 292, dated 02.05.2012, announces that the process of digitalization of audiovisual broadcastingss will continue in the district of Berat by 3 July 2017. This is the deadline for the closure of analogue broadcasts in this district
For the aforementioned, AMA draws attention to all audiovisual subjects operating analogue television activities in the district of Berat, taking measures to support their program in the digital network of ART or in one of the national licensed national networks by AMA.
AMA, on the other hand, requires from the public to benefit from TV broadcastings through analogue technology, to be equipped with a digital receiver (DVB-T2 type decoder), otherwise, after 3 July 2017, will no longer be able to watch television broadcastings in this district.
