The Chair of AMA, Ms. Armela Krasniqi, welcomed in a meeting today the representatives of the Coalition for Reforms, Integration, and Consolidated Institutions (KRIIK). The focus of this meeting was the work that will be done during the electoral campaign.
The Chair Ms. Krasniqi explained to KRIIK representatives AMA’s monitoring work during the electoral process, as well as the methodology that is used in compliance with CEC’s guidelines, in preparation for the upcoming May elections.
In AMA’s commitment protocol for elections, in addition to the monitoring process, it is specified that the work begins prior to the start of the campaign. AMA communicates periodically with all audiovisual media service providers to inform them of the requirements of the Electoral Code and the bylaws adopted by the CEC, as well as the importance of their implementation.
KRIK is an organization that, in addition to protecting human rights and strengthening the rule of law, also focuses on promoting accountability in public and political institutions. It is part of a network of 30 local organizations with experience in monitoring political and institutional processes.
