AMA’s Chair Ms. Armela Krasniqi, participated in a meeting organized by the OSCE/ODIHR in Bucharest, where last year’s elections in Romania were discussed, the encountered issues and the lessons learned from them.

Organized by ODIHR in partnership with experts from the Expert Forum, this seminar is part of the OSCE/ODIHR project supporting electoral reform in the Western Balkans.

The two-day meeting was attended by election experts, regulatory leaders from Montenegro, Kosovo, Bosnia, and North Macedonia, journalists’ associations, and civil society representatives from the Western Balkans region. The main topics of discussion were:

Disinformation as a social media phenomenon;

Foreign and domestic interference;

Exploring the electoral campaigns/advertisements monitoring on online Video Sharing Platforms, and their financing.

Since 2021, AMA has been monitoring elections based on the methodology developed by the CEC. The findings from this monitoring, identified in news editions, debate/forum programs, political advertisements, live coverage of electoral activities, etc., are reported to the CEC.

It’s worth noting that since 2021, no complaints have been submitted to AMA regarding the election monitoring process.
