August recorded a higher volume of social news coverage across audiovisual media. According to data compiled by AMA’s monitoring and analysis teams, social news accounts for 18.88% of the total news content broadcast.
These are followed by international news, accounting for 13.38%, while political news accounts for 12.80% of the news coverage on national television channels.
Next in the ranking are sports news at 8.93%, news from Kosovo and the region at 8.26%, police/public order at 6.04%, the economy at 5.30%, crime reports at 5.30%, government activities at 5.35%, culture/showbiz at 5.29%, and judicial activities at 4.53%.
