AMA–TikTok Transparency, 62 harmful pieces of content and 1,444 pirated photos/videos have been removed from the platform

The Audiovisual Media Authority, in cooperation with citizens and the TikTok platform, continues its work to identify and remove harmful content from the platform. According to the latest data, from February 4 to June 22, 62 harmful pieces of content and 1,444 photos/videos reported for piracy have been removed from TikTok.

Out of 222 complaints handled by AMA, 88 cases were identified as law violations. Of these, 62 videos/audios have been removed from the platform, while 26 cases remain under review.

Of the 62 removed pieces of content, 20 videos involved children’s exposure to pornography, narcotics, alcohol, tobacco, and violence. Additionally, 28 videos were removed for incitement to violence and hatred, 8 videos for acts of violence, 3 videos for religious hate speech, 2 videos depicting criminal acts and 1 audio for the use of language that exceeds moral and ethical standards.

Regarding piracy, during this period 1,444 piracy-related cases were registered, including 708 photos and 736 videos. As a result of the interventions, all reported content has been removed from the platform, and there are currently no cases under review.

AMA emphasizes that every complaint and report received has been reviewed with full responsibility and in accordance with legal provisions, with the aim of protecting the public and ensuring a safer digital environment on digital platforms.
