AMA imposed 9 administrative measures during the first half of 2026

During the first half of 2026, the Audiovisual Media Authority (AMA), through its Inspection and Supervision Directorate, continued to exercise its supervisory functions to ensure compliance with legislation governing audiovisual broadcasting, conducting 134 inspections of entities operating in the audiovisual media market.

The inspections were carried out on cable networks, IPTV and OTT services, following complaints submitted to AMA, as well as on the basis of on-site verifications conducted by the Authority’s structures. During this process, instances of non-compliance with legal obligations were identified, and the relevant administrative measures were imposed.

As a result of the inspections conducted, 9 administrative fines were imposed during this period, 5 for failure to comply with broadcasting rights, 2 for obstructing inspections and 2 for failure to submit the requested recordings.

Through its inspection activities, AMA aims to ensure compliance with the applicable legislation, protect broadcasting rights, raise standards in audiovisual services and promote a regulated and transparent media market that operates in accordance with the law.
