The Center for Rule of Law delegation, an institution established by the Finnish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the University of Helsinki, met with the Chair of AMA, Ms. Armela Krasniqi, to have deeper insights into the Authority’s work.
This delegation is in Tirana for the Policy Reform Dialogue Roundtable, organized in collaboration with this Center, the CEC, and International IDEA.
Ms. Krasniqi explained to Mr. Timo Huovinen, Director of the Finnish Public Broadcaster, and Ms. Marjo Naapit, an expert from the Center for Rule of Law, how AMA operates, the division of work, and its monitoring role during the electoral process, a responsibility the Authority has been fulfilling since 2021.
A significant part of the discussion focused on the current challenges in the media market, as well as our work as regulators, thanks to technological advancements.
“I am grateful for Mr. Huovinen’s expressed willingness to collaborate in every direction and based on AMA’s future needs,” stated Ms. Krasniqi, adding that such experiences, as well as the exchange of expertise and the growth of institutional capacities, are always a great way to be successful in our work.
