AMA Chair, Mrs. Armela Krasniqi, during her visit in Rome, held a valuable meeting at the headquarters of ANSA in Rome with the General Director of the Italian National News Agency and Luigi Silvestri, Director of Enterprises & New Media Business.
“We discussed disinformation and information disorder as a phenomenon, and during the conversation, I learned that ANSA is one of the media organizations fully engaged in this process, unofficially taking on the role of a Fact Checker,” said AMA Chair, Ms. Armela Krasniqi.
According to her, technology and new communication channels have presented new challenges for both the media and regulators. Cooperation, self-regulation, and co-regulation, based on European normative acts, are the right formulas for a market that is new in form but, above all, professional.
