A two-day conference on Disinformation and Foreign Information Manipulation and Interference was held in Podgorica, organized by the Western Balkans Cyber Capacity Centre (WB3C). The conference brought together institutional representatives, media and cybersecurity experts, as well as strategic communication professionals from the region and beyond.
The conference focused on the growing challenges related to disinformation and information manipulation and their impact on democratic processes and the European integration of Western Balkan countries.
AMA’s Chairwoman, Ms. Armela Krasniqi, was invited to this conference as part of the panel on “Safeguarding the European Path: Building Resilience in the Western Balkans”. In her speech, she presented AMA’s approach to protecting the public from disinformation and shared the experience gained through collaboration with TikTok and X platforms.
AMA’s Chairwoman emphasized that the institution’s commitment is based on ensuring a balance between freedom of expression and professional, responsible information. In this regard, AMA works to empower the public through media literacy and the promotion of professional journalism.
She also highlighted the collaboration with TikTok and X as a successful experience that has helped prevent the spread of harmful content on digital platforms, as well as strengthen public trust.
