The Audiovisual Media Authority has imposed a fine of 5 million ALL and filed a report to AKEP against an illegal operator in Golem, Kavaja.
AMA’s field inspectors, which monitor the market and identify pirate broadcastings, discovered an OTT server which was transmitting illegal broadcasts.
This server, operating illegally and without broadcasting rights, was distributing to end-users the Albanian platforms DigitAlb and Tring TV, including the Tring Sport package. Additionally, unauthorized broadcasts of international platforms and sports channels were found, including Sky Sport, Bein Sport, Astro Supersport, Art Sport, etc.
The inspection teams managed to shut down this pirate operator, whose data was stored on servers located outside Albania and all service users were deleted.
AMA remains committed in its fight against piracy and always stands by legitimate operators, while urges citizens to not buy illegal audiovisual products, as they will not receive a service.
