The “One IPTV Player” application has been removed from the Google Play Store following a verification process carried out by the Audiovisual Media Authority inspection teams, because of broadcasting rights violations.
The application was removed following a request submitted by AMA to Google after it was found to provide unauthorized access to the television packages of Digitalb, Tring, RTSH and TV Klan, as well as to sports packages with exclusive broadcasting rights.
The Authority emphasizes that this case constitutes a clear example of the illegal online distribution of audiovisual content, infringing upon the rights of broadcasters and licence holders.
AMA further announces that it will continue monitoring the digital environment and report applications, platforms and websites that illegally distribute television channels and programmes without authorization, with the aim of protecting Albanian audiovisual content and ensuring compliance with copyright and broadcasting rights.
