The Audiovisual Media Authority Chair, Ms. Armela Krasniqi, took part in the first meeting of the Reform and Growth Facility (RGF) Monitoring Committee, co-chaired by the National Coordinator for RGF and European Commission representatives.
This Committee serves as a high-level forum and its first meeting focused on the progress made in implementing the National Reform Agenda 2024–2027, the quality, challenges and compliance of the measures undertaken within the RGF Instrument framework, as well as the next steps towards achieving the established objectives. The Reform and Growth Facility (RGF) is Albania’s new Instrument for testing its readiness for EU membership, where the funds disbursement is directly linked to concrete results and the country’s performance.
Within this Reform Agenda, AMA is committed to strengthening Freedom of Expression in line with European standards, addressing the media ownership structure, where transparency has already been ensured, advancing the Audience Measurement process, reinforcing the public broadcaster capacities, etc.
