Since August 2024, when the Audiovisual Media Authority began its collaboration with TikTok, the figures in the fight against online piracy have been very encouraging.
So far, 1,064 videos reported for piracy have been removed from the platform, while 151 profiles have been closed after being reported for containing pirated content.
Over these months, AMA has received 538 complaints, of which 181 have been deemed violations of the law.
Out of these, 171 videos-audios have been removed from the platform, while 10 others are under review.
In addition to cases of piracy, citizens are encouraged to report harmful content that includes violence, hate speech, child and community abuse, or violations of fundamental rights, etc.
Since the start of AMA’s collaboration with this platform, a dedicated link can be found on the official AMA website for reporting content deemed harmful.
