In cooperation with citizens and TikTok, the Audiovisual Media Authority continues its efforts to identify and remove harmful content from the platforms.
From the moment of reporting through 29 June, AMA reviewed and took action on 225 complaints handled. Of these, 89 were assessed as law violations, 65 videos/audio were removed from the platform and 24 videos/audios remain under review.
Of the 65 removed pieces of content, 8 videos depicted acts of violence, 3 videos for containing religious hate speech, 2 videos for depicting criminal offences, 20 videos for exposing children to pornography, narcotics, alcohol, tobacco, or violence, 31 videos inciting violence and hatred and 1 audio for language exceeding moral and ethical standards.
Regarding piracy, during this period, the following have been recorded: 1,537 reported cases of piracy, 745 reported photos, 792 reported videos, 1,537 photos/videos removed from the platform, leaving 0 cases in process.
Every complaint and report received has been handled with the utmost responsibility and in full compliance with the applicable legal provisions.
