The Audiovisual Media Authority has established a collaboration with the TikTok platform aimed at preventing harmful content sharing, such as videos that display or incite any form of violence, contain hate speech, violate the rights of children and communities, or infringe on fundamental human rights, etc. A channel has been created on TikTok under the authority’s account, where verified harmful content identified by AMA teams will be posted. These videos will then be officially followed up by the platform for further action.
In this regard, the AMA’s official website has launched a dedicated section where users can report harmful videos encountered while browsing TikTok: https://ama.gov.al/denonco-shkelje-per-tiktok/. Videos submitted through these reports will be reviewed by AMA teams, and any video that is found to violate the law and ethics will be officially reported to the platform for necessary actions.
“Starting today, I invite you to report any harmful content you come across, according to your judgment, that displays or incites violence, contains hate speech, violates the rights of children and communities, or breaches fundamental rights, using the dedicated link on the official AMA website,” wrote AMA Chair Ms. Krasniqi in one of her posts on official social medias regarding this collaboration. “Any content that infringes on our freedoms must be stopped. Co-regulation is now the universally accepted formula for a media market that benefits everyone, and we can become an active part of this process.”
