Krasniqi with the students of “Qemal Stafa”: Media literacy as a shield against the dangers of the digital world

As part of the national media literacy campaign, “Media Literacy for School-Age Students”, AMA’s Chairwoman, Ms. Armela Krasniqi, held a discussion with the students and teachers of the “Qemal Stafa” High School in Tirana.

The discussion focused on the growing role of technology in the ways we communicate and access information, as well as the challenges and risks associated with its use. Special attention was given to online safety, the potential dangers that may lurk behind mobile phone screens, online gaming and communicating with strangers.

The meeting in Tirana follows previous stops of the campaign at high schools in Elbasan and Lezhë, where awareness-raising activities were organized to promote the safe and critical use of media and technology.

AMA’s Chairwoman thanked the Ministry of Education and Sports, the National Agency for Pre-University Education and the Agency for Quality Assurance in Pre-University Education for their cooperation and support, all of which are contributing to the implementation of this initiative.

The “Media Literacy for School-Age Students” campaign will continue in other regions of the country, with the aim of strengthening young people’s skills in the responsible and safe use of media and technology.
