AMA’s Chairwoman, Ms. Armela Krasniqi, was invited to the roundtable organized by the interdisciplinary research network PLURILINGMEDIA, which held a two-day seminar in Tirana at the College of Europe. The seminar focused on the media and its transformation, as well as the impact of this transformation on linguistic diversity.
Ms. Krasniqi, invited to speak on the panel titled “Transposition of the European Audiovisual Media Services Directive (AVMSD)”, explained to the participants the legal adaptations made in AMA’s organic law and their implementation in practice.
“The new digital media, in addition to its benefits, has also brought an increase in negative phenomena such as hate speech, discrimination in all its forms and the exposure of children to various risks. These are among the main objectives of AMA’s work, to which we are committed on a daily basis, with the aim of further regulating the audiovisual market and Very Large Online Platforms (VLOPs)”, stated Ms. Krasniqi.
The results of AMA’s collaboration with the platforms TikTok and X were also received with considerable interest by the participants.
