A work meeting between AMA’s Chair, Ms. Armela Krasniqi and the head of the Polish regulatory authority, Mr. Maciej Swirski, has elevated the cooperation between the two regulators to a new level.
During her visit in Warsaw, at the National Broadcasting Council of Poland (KRRiT), Ms. Krasniqi also held meetings with members of the institution’s Board, where she presented the main objectives of AMA’s work.
During the meeting we discussed current challenges in the media market, European regulatory frameworks and the Media Literacy as a crucial tool for fostering a critically engaged media audience.
Chairwoman Krasniqi addresses Council members interest regarding the legal transpositions our Authority has carried out in alignment with EU legislation, the upcoming amendments we are preparing for the implementation of the Digital Services Act (DSA) and the European Media Freedom Act (EMFA), as well as other important steps towards the audio and audiovisual market further regulation.
AMA and KRRiT signed a Memorandum of Understanding on September 11, 2024, in Tirana which has strengthened the ties and exchange of experiences between the two institutions.
This meeting also paved the way for further exchange of expertise and best practices, essential for the work of each regulator. Krasniqi and Swirski agreed to organize joint activities.
