Ongoing inspections and cooperation with legitimate entities to combat online piracy have begun to show results. Following roundtable discussions held in the country’s regions with cable operators authorized by the AMA and after forming a coalition with them in this joint battle against lawbreakers, the first violators have been identified.
Last weekend, AMA inspection teams were stationed in Saranda. During the three-day inspections carried out in nearby cities and surrounding areas, unauthorized audiovisual broadcasts in the form of IPTV/OTT were found.
These platforms were transmitting all Albanian, Italian, and Greek content, via the following portals:

- http://mag.ottcst.com/c
These servers were shut down, and AMA has forwarded these addresses to AKEP for further measures throughout country.
“This is our joint battle with legal operators. We have declared war on piracy and will not back down,” said AMA Chair Mrs. Armela Krasniqi. “We are always by the side of honest operators!”
