Audiovisual broadcasting expanded in Albania and Kosovo
On Tuesday, October 3, 2017, at the AMA premises in Tirana, a working meeting was held between regulatory directors from Albania and Kosovo.
AMA chairman, Gentian Sala and his counterpart from the Independent Media Commission, IMC, Adnan Merovci, and delegations of the two institutions discussed the aspects of the expansion of the audiovisual market of the two countries.
On the inclusion of Albania’s TV channels on the platforms operating in the territory of the Republic of Kosovo, and vice versa for the Kosovo TV channels in the stream of broadcastings in the territory of Albania.
The meeting addressed the sensitivity of the Albanian audience for audiovisual broadcasts, as well as the respect of broadcast rights.

The two regulatory authorities will intensify their co-operation in pursuing best practices and experiences in streamlining broadcasting between the two countries based on the best Western audio-visual standards.
