AMA will not allow the broadcasting of new TV channels without authorization
Taking the cause of the experiences of the past years, during which electoral campaign, various cable, repeaters of third party program(s), have opened a new television channel without authorization, called cable channel, used it for political purposes and not only. The Audiovisual Media Authority, AMA, draws you attention to respect the legal provisions. Opening new channels or including any unauthorized channel on your cable network will be considered a violation of the law.
We remind you that the opening of a new TV channel, without AMA’s authorization, is punishable by a penalty of 5.000.000 to 10.000.000 ALL and includes the seizure of equipment used to allow illegal broadcasting.
Throughout the election campaign, AMA will continue to regularly monitor the transmission of each channel and will take all the measures provided for by law for any case of violation and non-compliance with legal provisions.
