The delegation of the Audiovisual Media Authority (AMA), headed by the
Chairperson of AMA, Mrs. Armela Krasniqi, paid an official visit to the
Independent Media Commission (IMC) in Kosovo.
In this meeting, AMA delegation was welcomed by the Chairman of the IMC,
Mr. Xhevat Latifi and other IMC members.
The main topics of discussion focused on the current developments of both
regulators, the continuation of institutional cooperation and the possibilities of
expanding this cooperation in the future, the amendment of some by-laws of the
IMC regarding the regulation of the media activity in Kosovo.
Of particular importance was the discussion on the IMC preparations for the
process of monitoring the election campaign coverage for the local elections in
Kosovo, by the audio-visual media service providers (AMSP).
IMC and AMA agree on the exchange of best practices regarding different
phases of the monitoring process of media service providers, especially during
the election process, with particular focus on evaluating on immediate grounds
the content broadcast during this process.
