AMA’s Chair, Ms. Armela Krasniqi, participated in the latest plenary session of the European Regulators Group for Media Services. This meeting marked a decisive step towards the institutional consolidation of the European Board for Media Services (EBMS) or in other words the transition from ERGA (the European Regulators Group for Audiovisual Media Services) to the new EBMS governance structure, as part of the European Media Freedom Act (EMFA) implementation.
The session chaired by Mr. Carlos Aguilar, head of the Spanish regulatory authority as the newly elected President approved key strategic documents, including the 2025 work plan and the submissions deadlines from the various working groups.
Albania maintains its observer status in the EBMS following this European network transformation.
The Audiovisual Media Authority remains consistently committed to participating in European media regulation processes and fostering inter-institutional cooperation.
