2. Why should I have a DVB-T2 decoder?
To access digital broadcasts, you must have an external Universal DVB-T2 decoder or a TV set that incorporates this type of decoder. The designation of DVB-T2 technology is an obligation according to the 2012 Digitalization Strategy and the Law 97/2013 “For the Audiovisual Media in the Republic of Albania”.
3. What should I do to get a digital signal on my TV?
To access the digital signal, you must have an external Universal DVB-T2 decoder or a TV set that incorporates this type of decoder. In the case of an external decoder, make sure that the connection to the TV and the antenna is done properly, and then put your TV on auto search to find digital channels. If the decoder is plugged into a TV, just connect the TV to the antenna and then set it in an auto-scan mode.
4. And what happen if I do not have e decoder?
If you do not have a decoder, or your TV does not have a DVB-T2 decoder, then you will not be able to access digital broadcasts. We understand that the digitalization process will take place throughout Albania. Analog transmissions will be shut down and will be transmitted to digital broadcasts. The process is supposed to take place in phases, district after district until full analogue broadcasting is complete. By closing the analog broadcasts in the region where you live, you will not be able to watch TV programs unless you have a DVB-T2 decoder.
5. Which decoder should I buy, as there are many types in the market?
The brands of decoders can be different, but it is important that the decoder type to be Universal DVB-T2, so that you can use a decoder for all digital platforms.
6. In what format and resolution should I have the TV set to be able to track digital broadcasts?
To access digital broadcasts no matter what set has your television it is important to have a Universal DVB-T2 external decoder or a TV set that incorporates this type of decoder.
7. What is the list of channels that can be followed during digital broadcasting?
The channel list depends on the region where you live. Channels free of charge that can be viewed will be all channels of national operators (RTSH and private operators), as well as local / regional channels that previously broadcast on analog in your county.
8. Do I have to pay to see digital broadcasts?
Digital broadcasts are offered free of charge and paid. 9. It’s a must to have an antenna or satellite?

10. I have a TV with integrated DVB-T2 decoder. What should I do to watch digital broadcasts?
You must connect your TV to the antenna and then set it in auto search to find digital channels. It should be noted that, unlike analogue broadcasts, where the antenna can be run not completely from the broadcast point, for digital broadcasting the direction of the antenna is of great importance as it directly affects the reception of the signal and its quality.
11. Do each television have to be equipped with a decoder (DVB-T2) separately?
If your TV has an incorporated DVB-T2 decoder, it is not necessary to buy an external decoder. Otherwise, each TV must be equipped with an external decoder. It is also possible to have a single decoder and a digital signal splitter to be distributed to other TVs, but in this case all TVs will be viewed the same TV channel. So it is not possible for different TV channels to be seen on different TV channels.
12. If I hook up the TV to an external DVB-T2 decoder, should I save all the channels manually?
If you set your TV to auto-scan, then your digital TV channels will rank according to AMA’s specifications. Meanwhile, you have the opportunity to sort the channels as desired.
13. Where can I buy a decoder?
The decoder can be found at points of sale where television equipment are sold such as antennas, cable television, satellite dishes etc. Just make sure that the decoder is of a universal DVB-T2 type, so that you can use a decoder for all digital platforms.
14. How to connect the decoder to the TV?
The way the decoder is connected to the TV and the antenna is very simple and unmistakable. Please follow the manual instructions in the decoder box.
15. How much does it costs a DVB-T2 decoder?
The decoder price varies by type, brand or year of production. But AMA does not have such information, as AMA has no authority to check and verify the price of decoders in the market.
16. When digitalization will be over in my region, can I watch analogue broadcasts?

The process is supposed to take place in phases, district after district until full analogue broadcasting is complete.
